This venue, The Farm at South Cove, is the ultimate location for a rustic glam event, overlooking a bay and located about 1hr outside Halifax. It's your complete DIY location that allows you to use any vendors you'd like. Our owner got married here August 6th, 2022 and we're here to breakdown all the vendors, items used and more.
Starting with the..
Stationary:
Ashley's invitations were done locally by Paper Chain Stationery and they were everything she wanted. The paper was dusty rose and as you'll be able to see throughout this blog, it matched everything perfectly.
Ceremony:
At the Farm, they have a location overlooking the water & they have a backup location inside the barn for rainy days. Luckily on this day, it was 27c with sun and no clouds, making it a perfect day for a wedding!
All the chairs were provided by us: White Resin Chairs
The farm includes a grey wooden arbor that can be used inside the barn or outside.
Here you can see our Dusty Rose 40' Sheer being used and the stunning floral work done by Flourish Florals.
Lisa designed this onsite and it made all the difference in the photos.
JP is Meghan Patterson, also known as Marry Me Meghan
Other details of the ceremony included:
Programs made & designed by the bride herself.
Real flower petals from: Foster's Floral Studio
Other items featured above by us: Lanterns, Arched Gold Sign, Dusty Rose Faux Garland, Gold Stand
Ashley also had Hali-Cheese do up a stunning charcuterie board for her guests to snack on.
Reception
Guests were greeted by our NEW locally made wooden ladder. This ladder was built with the intent on using it with frames and photos, so the steps are wider.
To keep guests hydrated between the ceremony & cocktail hour they had lemonade in our new acrylic dispenser. Benefit of having a dispenser lifted or on it's own stand allows for guests to easily dispense there own beverages.
Guests were also greeted when they turned the corner by our new Floral Bar Sign, easy to attach with command hooks and looks STUNNING against the white wood wall.
The bartenders were from Pineapple Works, they know the venue well and our guests raved about them!
The bride out did herself with this little detail, edible cocktail toppers! These were purchased from a company called Edible Print out of Montreal, fast shipping too!
Before you walked into the venue, they had a large wooden guestbook made by Wood as It Gets that said 'The Jollimores, EST 2022' and our gold glass card box for cards.
You can also see our rustic candle holders in the back.
During cocktail hour, guests were able to mingle and enjoy the photobooth supplied by Snaptastik
Finally, the best part. The table decor!

Our Gold Mercury Compote Vases were the perfect vase for Ashley's centerpieces.
The décor and he entire wedding couldn't have gone the way it did without her Wedding Day-of Coordinator Kathryn M, from KM Event Co. Her and her assistant Ellen helped in so many ways and made sure anything that wasn't going right wasn't seen! What more could you want?
Wine Bottle labels designed by the bride! So cute!
Headtable
This setup, just WOW.
With the barn being painted white, the white wooden crates created such a nice modern look. Ashley wanted a simple setup for her headtable, so she rented the gold stands from One Day Affair and purchased a custom Neon Sign online. Then Lisa, brought over the floral from the arch to the headtable that way your getting two uses out of one. The Floral behind the headtable is actually faux and we rent them here. The lanterns in front can be found here. Overall, this headtable setup is unique and yet so simple, Ashley and her husband were in love when they saw the final product.
A moment for this cake! Shoutout to Teaspoon bakery for the most delicious cake we've ever had at a wedding.
Cake topper from: Thistle and Lace Designs
Cake Stand is our Gold Geo 18" cake stand
Blush round tablecloths can be found here
Peony garland can be found here
Reception Music
Ashley had The Strolling Bones play for the first part of her reception, they were everything you could want in a live band. A lot of other bands were booked or charging thousands of dollars, Gregg and the rest of The Strolling Bones were such a great addition to her special day.
Once the band was done, Pure Quality Products started and kept the beat going all night long!
All in all, Ashley and her Husband Dan had the best night they could have dreamed of!
